Hi! My name is Vasiliy. I live and work in Düsseldorf, Germany.
My artistic practice is focused on the interaction of time, space, and presence.
Through photography, I capture moments of transition — between presence and absence, fullness and emptiness, light and shadow.
My attention is not on events, but on their traces. Not on action, but on atmosphere. I approach photography as a meditative practice: observing, intervening as little as possible, remaining fully attentive. Light, structure, rhythm, and pause are my main tools.
Ultimately, my work is an attempt to grasp what cannot be fully expressed in words: the subtle presence of time as it both dissolves and defines space.
